Dean and Maria went on another vacation to Washington DC and had a great time doing things and visiting sites we had never done before. We saw the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights in the National Archives, went to the American Art History and Portrait Museum...very cool to see paintings of all the presidents. (interesting to note most presidents paintings were life-size, except for President Nixon...his was an 8x10...painted by Norman Rockwell....8x10 nonetheless). This museum also had large painting of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young which we of course thought was cool. We also spent some time in the Library of Congress and went to the Spy Museum. We really enjoyed the trip...you could spend weeks and weeks and never see half of what is available to see. We stayed at Maria's Gaylord National Hotel...of course upgraded to a suite with a spectacular view of the city over the Potomac River.
