Yet another great trip while working. Although the flight over was awful and I really earned my salary working that one, it was well worth it to see all the neat and historical things the city offers.

The AcropolisLooking down into the Theatre of Dionysos

The National Garden in the middle of the city...a little like Central Park, but not really.

Neat Military Musuem located close to my hotel.

And some modern art that caught my attention. Don't stand too close,
it (they) will poke your eyes out.

On my commuting flight home last night from New York City, a bird handler from SeaWorld Orlando was transporting a Spoonbill back home after a day of television show visits. It was the cutest thing....pecked your hands and it felt like two popsicle sticks and his feathers were the brightest pink color.

Rome, Italy
Thursday, June 10, 2010
Dean is on another Delta-Dream-Vacation
working his guts out in Rome, Italy.
The Trevi FountainThe Spanish Steps
San Carlo Quattro Fontane (she appears to be a little bored
with the whole idea of laying around.)

Fontana del Tritone in the Piazza Barberini.
While I was taking this photo, a guy came up to me and said,
"weren't you my flight attendant on the flight from New York?"
I said, "Maybe..." and ran.
As you can tell, I am not wearing my uniform...
how did he pick me out of the crowd of millions?
That is what I want to know.

Just another cool structure on my adventure across the city. This wall is probably built before the America's we even discovered. Amazing.Hiding in and out of ruins.
Of course, had to have fresh cheese and tomato pizza for lunch. It was divine. My hotelYou gotta love these Italian hotels. They really know how to take care of their guests with irriatable-bowel-syndrome. Bidet is heaven divine.

The beautiful tree in the front yard of my beautiful
home is in bloom....and of course, my favorite color...
PINK.
I love it here in Florida.

For those that don't know, I transfered to New York City to do all my flying for work. While doing my temporary assignment in Detroit for the past six month, I got spoiled flying international trips....which are not flown out of the Orlando base.
So as of June first, all my trips will take-off and land in JFK.
Photos of my first trip, June 2-4 to follow. Stay tuned for my next adventure.

Shannon, Ireland
This is the view from just down and across the street from my hotel.

My hotel accommodations....very nice....aside from the Savoy, this was the nicest hotel in town. (as it should be.)
This was huge mural painted on the wall in the lobby of the hotel...I thought it was very cool. The "Limerick City" of Shannon is very charming and small. On the ride from the airport to the hotel, the countryside was lush and green and looked a lot like Utah County. (I think that is how I described the countryside in Pisa, Italy as well.....hmmmm what does that mean?)
Among the neat little houses in the city, you will find a castle.

couldn't have a castle...without a cannon.

Walked through the cemetary looking for "Kelly" headstones....maybe a dead relative...no such luck.

Loved Ireland...and from my observation...not a lot like England at all (at least London). And I was wondering....where are all the pretty people? But the weather was great and I loved the adventure of seeing a new place.
