My traditional under the horse photo.Stockholm like most other European cities I have visited have a cool river that runs through the center of town. Our hotel is also on the bank of this river. So very cool.This is the Royal Palace where the King of Sweden lives. This photo is of the front door gate which was guarded by this guy.This is the back door to the palace with even more guards....and canons.

Naples, Florida

I have been so busy at work this summer, that our real anniversary in July came and left without much of a celebration. So Maria and I set aside this weekend for an anniversary getaway.

Having never been to Naples, we chose that destination. It was just under a three hour drive from our house. We loved it...cutest little city and we now want to retire there, if we can't retire in Kauai, HI.

We stayed at The Inn on Fifth which is in the center of old historic Naples....and two blocks from the most beautiul gulf coast beaches in Florida.

We explored downtown and thought it reminded us a lot of Palm Springs, CA....only with humidity. Very artsy-fartsy.

For lunch, we ate at "The Cafe"...the food was really good, but had more fun posing and taking photos. Found a new camera app for my iPhone which I love playing with. Aren't these fun of Maria with her new vintage sunglasses?

Beautiful beaches and such lovely sunsets off the gulf coast.

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone has been enjoying their summer. Ours has been pretty busy! Just realized my last post was in April when my parents came out to visit. Well, A LOT has happened since then. Of course, lots of weddings, we went to 5 this year, a slow year. They were all a lot of fun and was great to see our friends. John and I went to Bermuda for a week to check it out, was really beautiful, much more beautiful than I imagined actually, was quite surprised. I celebrated the big 30! The talented Stephanie painted these beautiful invitations that I sent out to some friends for a luau we had here at our house in CA.

We have been in CA since mid July and we are sad to be leaving on Sunday! We had friends come out from the UK for 2 weeks and we did a road trip up the CA coast and lots of hanging out. We have had lots of other house guests from Monaco and NY and even Westlake Village, hahah. John has a cousin who lives up there with his family and they happened to be down here in south county for a soccer tournament, so was great to see them! And, we even have house guests arriving on Saturday, John's assistant and his gf, they will take a holiday traveling around CA. Now, Obama cant get mad at us, we are doing our part to stimulate the economy and bringing lots of international travelers.

Speaking of stimulating the economy, John and I bought a new car. Silly really, but we have to prepare for our new arrival in January. Yep, IM PREGNANT! Im about 20 weeks on, so half way there, but we are so very excited to be welcoming a lil boy into our family! Of course, my parents are so excited to finally be grandparents and Di and Ben are excited to be an aunty and uncle! I will return back to CA mid October for the duration of my pregnancy and John will come out in December for the final month! We plan on delivering at a hospital close to our house. Looks like John's brother will also come out from Beijing and Johns parents will come out as well to meet the lil man!

Last night we went to this viewing by invitation only to see the new Mclaren MP 412C. . . it was pretty cool, if you are into cars, ha. Me, I went for the free food and as John's +1. But, John was in heaven! Saw Joey from Friends (aka Matt Le Blanc) and John was so tempted to go up to him and say 'How you doin'?" hahaha.
