Fete de Geneve, this is a festival that lasts about 5 weeks in the summer time, carnival rides and food stalls and a stage are set up along the lake and in the Jardin Anglais. . .at the end of the fete they do a 50 minute firework show, its incredible, but you kinda are over it after 10 minutes. But I do love fireworks, this show puts Disneyland to shame!

Hiya Fam!
Been a while since we last posted, and a lot has happened. Friends wedding in the UK in July, friends have come out to visit a few weekends, went to Monaco to visit friends, went to NYC for a wedding and to see peeps and we moved to a new apartment. Loving the new apartment, so nice and sunny and so much bigger, actually have closet space and parking, before we had to park 10 mins walk away, not fun in the Geneva winter!
Went wakeboarding in Annecy, France last weekend, same place we went paragliding, it was a lot of fun. My 2nd attempt and it was much better to try it in the daylight! We are off to Malaysia tomorrow, so wanted to post these pics before we return. We are there for a few weeks, so will post at the end of the month!
Hope all is well with everyone and their summers were awesome!
Lots of Love,
Dana & John

What a great 4th of July weekend!
The Harmon Clan made their way south to the Kehr's and good times were had by all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We spent the holiday weekend at a beach cottage by our house.
This is us on the back porch.
We were delighted that the Erics wanted to come on down Friday.
They stayed in the cottage and we all had so much fun.
The weather was perfect and it was so relaxing and enjoyable to catch up with the cousins.
This is the handsome boy Bryce.
Sage and Penelope
Sage and PenelopeAfter a nice long day in the sun we all got cleaned up and went to our favorite field to watch the fireworks.
The kids all were great while they waited for the show to begin.
Darling girls -- were so happy to have a friend their age.
beautiful lovelies giggling
The firework display was awesome.
There was lots of oooohs and aaaaaahs.
The grand finale was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Sunday
We all jumped up and went to 9 am church and then to our house for some lunch, photo ops, swing time and goodbyes.
Ivy was very popular because she is SO adorable
and mobile and well tempered.
She was passed around a bit and a good sport about it too.
nice family photo
As you can see, I couldn't get enough of these two.
They were always just so happy and cute.
A little Show and Tell from the camera
Getting some energy out before the road trip.
I really enjoyed observing Eric and Carma's extraordinary parenting skills.
They are such an example of love, patience and kindness.
Every one is always invited to visit us. Maybe you should check with Eric & Carma for any warnings but I hope they were as happy with their trip as we were with having them here.
Erics -- Thank you for your efforts
and for sharing your vacation days with us.
Good work at making some memories!
Hi All!
Been a long time posting, but today John surprised me and we went Paragliding over Lake Annecy in France. It was a beautiful day and we both really enjoyed ourselves. After we had lunch and then lounged by the lake at a co-worker of Johns house he is renting for the year. We are back in Geneva now and here for most of the summer, of course we have weddings, one in the UK in July and then one in NYC in August. Then off to Malaysia in September to visit John's brother, David, and for vacay!
House is coming along. . .the big stuff has been complete, now its just making it personal and homey.
It was great to see those of you who could make it to Di and Ben's wedding and hopefully we will be out west soon and see you again!
Lots of love,
Dana & John Melsom
to join me on one of my layovers. We had a great time,
went to beach, ate out at new places and had a
fun little mini-honeymoon (again.) Very nice
all while Delta was paying me my tax-free per diem.
Gotta love it baby.
(PS. That is NOT Maria pictured in the green bathing suit
in the lower photo. That is one of the local Floridian dolls.)
