Maria and I took a little trip back home to Utah to visit family and see the fall season in full swing. We had such a great time and the weather was perfect.

We spent Saturday up in Park City. It was a lot of fun to walk through all the shops and enjoyed being together. (You will notice, Adam is not pictured at all...because he was not there. In fact, we didn't even see him on the trip. He was too busy.)

This is the Purple Sage store. One of many shops run and operated by some
tree hugger who is selling some knick-knack-paddy-wacks for lots of money. (we did not
buy any, just loved the sculpture.)
This is Maria's favorite shop....as she is a lover and collector of all books.

A sculpture of the Olympic Torch that was made around the time
the Olympics were hosted in Salt Lake City.


After we left Park City, we drove back on the east side of Mt. Timp through Sundance, Utah. We drove over the Alpine Loop and then through American Fork Canyon.

As you can tell, it was beautiful.

The Quaking Aspen everywhere were bright yellow. They have had such a long summer, we missed the bright reds...I would guess they will pop next week or so.



Don't these look like engagement photos? Anyway, we had the greatest time and it was fun to get away for a little 186th second honeymoon.

Happy Birthday Dad. Not a day goes by that , tell a snipet, or use an 'Elwood' quote, or think of you. Everytime I golf, either with Scott or the 'monkeys', you are on my mind. I love and miss you. Brooks

Just a nice house downtown Dublin.

St. Stephen's Green, 1663

This is the "central park" or "hyde park" of Dublin.
Very beautiful park set in the center of the city.

This is in front of the grand canal that runs in front of the hotel. And again, more swans.

Trinity College, 1592

This is the cobblestone courtyard of Trinity College.

Grafton Street, is the main drag "Fifth Ave" for shopping.

Very busy and crowded Grafton Street. The weather was great...high sixties.
Molly Malone Statue. Molly is commemorated in a statue erected to celebrate the city's first millennium in 1987. This statue is known as "The Tart With The Cart", "The Dish With The Fish", "The Trollop With The Scallop", "The Dolly With the Trolley", and "The Flirt in the Skirt". The statue portrays Molly as a busty young woman in seventeenth-century dress. Her low-cut dress and large breasts were justified on the grounds that as "women breastfed publicly in Molly's time, breasts were popped out all over the place."
