I fixed one of Mom's favorite dishes...spaghetti with grilled italian sausage and chicken....and garlic bread.

Cheesecake with fresh raspberry sauce for the birthday cake.

Welcome to to the James Kelly Family Blog. We thought it would be fun to have a common place where anyone in the family can post news, photos and stories. We welcome any and all contributions from everyone. This can serve as our family's online bulletin board. We hope it will provide an easy way to keep up with each other's busy lives.

Yes, autumn has arrived in Denmark. The day was sunny but it was only in the high 40's.
I didn't have to look too hard for my "guy on a horse."
City Hall.
The Royal Arsenal.
They had this medevil festival going on today with live music, people in costumes, and local music.
More cannons at the Royal Arsenal.
This is the Royal Garden at Rosenborg Castle. I didn't take a picture of the castle because it was ugly. It is under renovations and covered with a tarp...not worth seeing. But the garden was lovely. Similar to Hyde Park and Central Park. It appears all cities have a big park like this.

This is Christiansborg Palace.
This is a guard hut at the palace. I didn't see any guards, so I climbed in for a photo. Don't think that was kosher, as I saw a sign in another hut that read, "Do Not Enter." Oh well, I didn't get caught and dragged off to some Danish prison, so all is good.
Beautiful doorway (this door is about 15 feet high) in the palace that opens onto a courtyard pictured below with another "guy on a horse."

The gateway to the palace.
A canal runs through and around the city. On a pier on the canal were these
Stained glass house. (No stone throwing please.)
And some wild, modern art job.

This is St. Alban's church. It was just so beautiful how it was pertched ontop this grassy knoll in the middle of the city.
Beautifully colorful shops along the canal throughout the city.
Just a picture I caputred as I walked down a street of shops. Flowers everywhere and more bikes in this city than I noticed in any other city I visited this summer.
Not only tons of bikes, but sculptures like this one, on every street corner.
Manhole cover. Debbie suggested that I capture the image of the manwhole covers in all the cities I visit. I started in Stockholm because I thought it was so cool and detailed for a manhole cover, so here it is. Not as cool as Stockholm's, but neat idea. (Thanks Debbie.)
I heart CPH (which is actually the airpot/airline code for Copenhagen)
I had a great time here today. Although it was very chilly, I really enjoyed myself. There were so many other pictures to take, but my battery on my iphone went dead.
Maria and I took a little trip back home to Utah to visit family and see the fall season in full swing. We had such a great time and the weather was perfect.

Whitney, Josh (Where's Waldo) Me, and Maria.
The Egyptian Theater. Tons of potted Impatient plants hung on every street pole.
This is where we had lunch. This is the oldest restuarant in Park City....so the sign says.
Only the finest swiss time piece is used in Park City.
More pretty flowers with my pretty model.
This is the Purple Sage store. One of many shops run and operated by some
tree hugger who is selling some knick-knack-paddy-wacks for lots of money. (we did not
buy any, just loved the sculpture.)
This is Maria's favorite shop....as she is a lover and collector of all books.
"I'll take one of each, thank you."
A sculpture of the Olympic Torch that was made around the time
the Olympics were hosted in Salt Lake City.
After we left Park City, we drove back on the east side of Mt. Timp through Sundance, Utah. We drove over the Alpine Loop and then through American Fork Canyon.
As you can tell, it was beautiful.
The Quaking Aspen everywhere were bright yellow. They have had such a long summer, we missed the bright reds...I would guess they will pop next week or so.
